Funny Man Finds Himself in Unfunny Circumstances

    Jason Zinoman

November 28, 2010: An impressive amount of melodrama, activity and funny voices is packed into the hectic hour of “Being Sellers,” a solo biographical play by Carl Caulfield about the actor Peter Sellers that is part of the annual Brits Off Broadway festival at 59E59 Theaters. Telling the old story of the sad clown, the play, which begins in 1980 at a hospital bed where the chameleonic actor is dying by himself, is filled with references that will make fans of movies like “The Pink Panther” and “Dr. Strangelove” nod their heads knowingly.
