Did He Like It?*
  Synopsis
Perfect Crime Off-Broadway

The Love Letter You’ve Been Meaning to Write New York tells the story of a young man who rediscovers his love for New York City through the wisdom and wildness of a series of chance encounters with characters on the street. Taking advantage of 3LD’s floor-to-ceiling windows, the audience experiences the play from inside while the actors perform outside on Greenwich Street. Combining rehearsed scenes with everyday pedestrian traffic, live original music, puppets, a 40-member dance ensemble and film, The Love Letter You’ve Been Meaning to Write New York creates a sense of the greater mosaic of the greatest city in the world.

"“The Love Letter You’ve Been Meaning to Write New York” is not a production that satisfies on certain conventional levels: the concept and plot are strained, many of the performers are awkward amateurs, much of the script is hackneyed. And yet there’s something terribly winning about Jonathan Solari’s 80-minute production, which is at the 3LD Art & Technology Center in Lower Manhattan. Well, more accurately, it is outside the theater. "
