3 KINDS OF EXILE NEW YORK TIMES REVIEWOpening Night: June 11, 2013
"The story of Czyzewska’s turbulent life forms the moving heart of John Guare’s “3 Kinds of Exile,” which opened on Tuesday night at the Atlantic Theater Company in a production directed by Neil Pepe. A triptych of short plays about Eastern Europeans displaced from the countries of their birth, Mr. Guare’s new work draws on the life stories of Czyzewska (pronounced Chuh-ZHEF-skuh) and the Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz, and opens with a monologue about a fictional refugee who was sent to England as a boy just before the outbreak of World War II."
