A Dinner Becomes A Disaster, In Triplicate

    Ben Brantley

April 1, 2003: Yasmina Reza may have the tidiest mind of any popular playwright working today. It's not that Ms. Reza, the author of that internationally beloved trifle called ''Art,'' doesn't acknowledge that life can be fuzzy, mysterious and downright messy. Her ''Life x 3,'' which opened last night in a damagingly miscast production at the Circle in the Square Theater, might even be called a comedy of chaos.
