IF YOU EVER LEAVE ME... I'M GOING WITH YOU BROADWAY REVIEWS
Opening Night: August 6, 2001
Synopsis: If You Ever Leave Me, I'm Going With You celebrates the husband and wife acting/writing partnership of Renee Taylor and Joe Bologna from their romantic courtship and their first wedding reception on "The Merv Griffin Show" through their five marriage ceremonies and the many near "spouse-icides" of over 30 years of professional collaboration. The evening includes scenes from their semi-autobiographical Broadway and off-Broadway hits and film comedies like "It Had To Be You", "Bermuda Avenue Triangle", and "Lovers and Other Strangers".
NEW YORK TIMES REVIEW:
"Do you by any chance make a habit of crashing wedding receptions, anniversary banquets and family reunions? Do you get your kicks from watching strangers in festive formal wear as they show home movies, make toasts of mutual admiration and swap anecdotes about quirky relatives that somehow all sound the same?
