WHAT IS DIDHELIKEIT.COM?
DidHeLikeIt.com is a comprehensive Broadway and Off-Broadway review website? The purpose of DidHeLikeIt.com is to interpret what Ben Brantley, lead theater critic of the New York Times, thought of different shows. We also provide you reviews from other media outlets such as Newsday, The New York Post, The New York Daily News, USA Today, and Variety.
Each show’s reviews are interpreted with our Ben-O-Meter so you can instantly see whether or not the review was positive, negative, or mixed.
WHY DON’T ALL SHOWS HAVE REVIEWS FROM THE SAME PLACES?
It is possible that some shows don’t have reviews from every newspaper or website, or that some pages have reviews without links to the full article.
We provide electronic reviews with links to the full review on the reviewer’s website, but some reviewers do not have complete archives of all reviews. Especially with long running shows, it is possible that the electronic source no longer exists.
If you see missing or incorrect information or would like to add reviews to the website, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOW IMPORTANT ARE REVIEWS IN DETERMINING HOW LONG A SHOW WILL RUN?
While reviews do play some role in the success of a show, there are many factors that determine how long a show will run. Many shows that received rave reviews have closed quickly, and many shows that received less than favorable reviews have become long-running hits!
Reviews are a great way to guage popular opinion of a show, but don’t let reviews discourage you from seeing something you might enjoy!
